  6. Project Details Amuta is a national 4A-level Mongolian customs resort located on Amuta Peninsula north of Hujitumo Town, Durbote Mongolian Autonomous County, Daqing. Surrounded by three lakes namely Amuta Lake, Mutouxina Lake and North Lake on three sides, the peninsula features 6,800 mu of original meadows and 100,000 mu of connected waters, forming a unique aquatic grassland landscape rarely seen in Northeast China, also known as the Colorful Grassland. The island retains primitive vegetation and inhabits more than 220 kinds of water birds including red-crowned cranes, wild geese and black-headed gulls. Reeds stretch endlessly in spring and summer while vast snowfields spread in autumn and winter, making it a natural wetland oxygen bar.
